Fabric Collage

I love color; especially bright colors.  So, it was a challenge to make something that was achromatic – no color, just black, white and shades of gray.  When I finished the piece, I was surprised that I actually liked it.  But then, I like walking at dusk; the time of day when, as the sun goes down, color drains away.  You can still see, but the reds and blues and yellows are gone.  I think maybe dusk gives our eyes a rest.  We can focus on shapes, listen to sounds, notice smells, feel the air.  Our other senses get a chance to play.
