March is here! Spring is just around the corner.

Recently, I got an email from quilter Lyric Kinard.  She wrote, “A world without art is the most depressing thing I can imagine. … When the world is a disaster, art is one of the most important things we have.”  So, here you go – a monthly piece of art from me, just trying to save the world!

I thought I’d share something cheerful.  It’s an improv quilt (meaning, I didn’t use a pattern, though I did have a plan) using some of my favorite colors.  I “fussy cut” pictures of butterflies, suns and flowers for the middle of each block.  It’s kind of wonky, but I think it’s fun.  And fun is something I think we all need more of.
