When I decided to make an art quilt of my cat, Kali, I pulled fabric in the colors of her fur. Then I thought, “I already have a photo of her.  I don’t really need to make a quilt that looks just like the photo.”  So, I put back the browns and pulled out purples and blues.  I’m kind of glad that Kali’s fur wasn’t actually purple and blue.  But inside, she was very colorful!  And I miss her.

Here’s to remembering our past pets who we loved and who loved us.
