About 25 years ago, I won a trip to the Caribbean. We got on a plane in Minneapolis, Minnesota where it was snowing, cold and gray. A few hours later, we landed on a lush green warm island. Logically I had known this weather existed in February, but the actual experience was surreal. There were two very different realities, both true and verifiable, existing simultaneously. When my “reality” seems cold or hostile, I like to remember that there is another “reality” waiting for me that is warm and embracing. I just need to get on the right plane.
