Don’t forget to vote!

I live a block from a wonderful creek.  Along one path is a little tributary that twists and turns.  I took a photo of it a couple years ago (see first photo).  Then, I used it as inspiration for making various styles of art quilts.  I have now made 5 such art quilts.  And while you can see the creek in each of them, they are very different.  It is amazing how one person can have so many views of one small stretch of creek.  How many more views would there be if I included other artists’ visions.

As the midterm elections draw close, I am aware that the citizens of this country have a lot of truly different points of view. I find some of them confounding, some unrealistic, and some hopeful. But through all the various lenses, I think we all want to see a better America. I hope we can take a moment to look at our country through the eyes of others and try to put our disparate viewpoints together to work toward America the beautiful.
